May your hay never be moldy, and your water always clear,
May your rider be sympathetic, and your life remain without fear.
May your turnout be frequent, and your stall, once a day, clean.
May your hoof beats always be steady, and your rider never mean.
May your coat grow plush in the winter, and shed to shine in the spring,
May your body always be strong and your mind full of every good thing.
May your hooves always be steady, and your owner never be a fool.
May your ears be tickled with kind words, and your bit never be cruel
May you learn everyday of your life, and teach to man just as often.
May you never loose the light in your eye, though in time it may soften.
May the sun always warm you, or at least a good blanket in kind.
May you always know contentment, and the wind always be from behind.
May you forever remain as sweet, and forever remain as sound.
May you cross the Rainbow Bridge while you sleep on the summer ground.
